			Holding a special exhibition
Our fathers used masks to consecrate themselves in heaven, to chase away evil spirits, and to hold mask games in their villages in good times. In a long history, our mask play has undergone many changes. It was performed in the hope of preventing bad things, in a ceremony to pray for the royal well-being, or in a performance to greet Chinese envoys. The private sector stroked the lives of the people with offers and entertainment to pray for the peace of the village. Our mask is Japanese colonial rule and the Korean War, and the gasp of the crisis. However, the traditional culture, which had been disappearing due to efforts by scholars and performers to overcome this, was reborn as the national intangible cultural asset.
