			The Daegu Art Museum will hold an exhibition of Jeong Jae-kyu, artist from Daegu, from July 7 to October 18. Jeong Jae-kyu, who participated in the 10th Paris Biennale in 1977, has been working in France for more than 40 years. The author expands the nature of the records of photography since 1991. It presented a series of works that emphasized the experience of light in photography by focusing on the location inherent in photography images and the vividness of perspective, and named this series 'Modeling Photography'. Jeong Jae-kyu's 'Modeling Photography' is simply to show the photography language as a crust by dismantling the one-dimensional reproducibility of photographic images. To this end, the artist uses various techniques such as cutting, pasting, all-over, weaving, and calligraphy, using photographic images. Through this process, the artist secures basic formality as a work of art and explores the deep meaning of art and the world.

The exhibition, which will be held in the 4,5 exhibition hall, will focus on the sculpture series from the beginning to the present, along with the Mont Sainte-Victoire series and the <Le Atelier> series, which form the basis of the sculpture photography by Jeong Jae-kyu. The author has consistently paid attention to the division of Korea, recognizing it as a matter of difference and overcoming the problem of difference with the concept of light and belittling the possibility of a higher dimension. 'Light' is an integral part of the picture. The 'Light' is reassigned by Jeong Jae-kyu. In other words, Jeong Jae-kyu's 'Modeling Photography' describes the symbolic image of light, which involves the body to experience the concurrency of past and present time, and thus makes people feel the meaning of light. We will be able to experience the breathing of light through writer Jeong Jae-kyu.
