Exhibition Information
■ Planning intent Perseverance landed on Mars on February 18, 2021. NASA has released a video of the moment when the rover Perseverance descends to Mars to the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has released a video worldwide. The photo was taken at an altitude of 24,700km at 5:36 p.m. on the 11th, a day after it entered orbit of Mars. Such unknown attempts and efforts by humans toward the future may resemble art. The value of human imagination, beauty and possibility in the unknown world has been greatly underestimated in our society. Lee Kang-ha Art Museum organized the "2021 Space & Museum this year in conjunction with the "2020 Earth & Museum District and Museum". This exhibition aims to renew the image and perspective of art on the environment after the corona. The unknown approaches of "space" and "art" that are unknown to humans are similar in many ways, and they want to expand such views in the space of "art galleries" with more people to sympathize with the spaces of "earth" and "space." We're living on a little uncertain possibility, dream and hope for tomorrow. Attempts and movements toward the future lead to the discovery of another self-image and trials such as despair, continuing our lives confirming our dignity for a number of reasons that can never be concluded.
