Exhibition Information
On the Tip of Your Tongue The theme of the exhibition, "On the Tip of Your Tongue" was taken from French novelist Pascal Quignard's representative novel "On the Tip of Your Tongue"(1993), and appropriately implies the purpose of the first "San Collection" of Gallery SAN. In the novel, it says that 'language' is just a trained thing, and even if we lose a word, it's not who we are, so we can think of any language from the tip of our tongue. The weight of the exhibition at this point focuses on the individual's experience in the imperfect process of groping for forgotten memories due to language loss, when one is speechless the moment one appreciates the work. The exhibition, composed of writers Kang Min-ki, Kim Ae-young, Delos, Lee Do-gyu, Lee Ho-joon, Jeon Kang-ok, Ji Seok-cheol, and Charles Jang, expands the audience's experience with various works ranging from conception to non-conventional. In particular, it will be an opportunity to get a glimpse of young artists such as Kang Min-ki, Kim Ae-young, Delos, Lee Ho-joon and Charles Jang. "Hanging from the tip of the tongue" has the first meaning of the collection identity by showing the "incomplete but personalized power of freedom" experienced when appreciating works of art - when there is no need to recall language.
