Chae Ji-min juxtaposes images he has found in moments of life on a canvas, expressing the flatness and spatiality of painting in his unique artistic language. Fragments of different images from everyday life, between art and everyday life, reality and unreality, stand side by side on a canvas in conflict. After graduating from the Faculty of Painting at Seoul National College, Chae Ji-min completed his master's degree at Chelsea College of Art and continues to work actively at home and abroad. He had a solo exhibition at Art Basel Hong Kong in 2018 and participated in the West Bund Art & Design Fair in 2023. Starting with his Shanghai Hermes Maison window project last year, he has expanded his scope from flat paintings to installations.
