Exhibition Information
/ KOR EN Paintings move the hearts of the viewers. They encompass the artists’ thoughts and experiences, ingeniously interpreting the artists’ world view as the viewers encounter them. Such contemporaneous manifestations of something beyond an indirect experience offer us similar interactions to how we dream. Let’s take a leisurely stroll through this Dream Palace as it unravels our dreams floating around like thought bubbles. Sally Kindberg’s Dream Palace is like a luxury hotel where freedom and privacy are guaranteed. The hotel is filled with people living their daily lives as their mind and body wholly immerse in the space: a person working and exercising, a person getting a haircut, a person meditating and more. The artist exposes the surface of our fantasies in daily life, juxtaposing the one dimensionality and three dimensionality and portrays them in an organic manner. She further adds her humor in crossing over from metaphors to abstractions in one work to the next, as she depicts the depth of daily lives evoking a new emotional transformation. As such, the artist’s infinite associative thinking is closely connected to dreams. The daily life, time, consciousness and desire within the dreams amalgamate and create a space of shared and private imaginations. The artist speaks about how the unexpected rhythm of artworks guide her. Her brilliance in the limitless imagination and alluring colors naturally dance their way into the viewer's emotions and the artist’s open heartedness in the visual approach brings intriguing narratives. Immerse yourself in the secret space the artist presents! Everyday Mooonday Yeseul Gong (Source = Everyday Mooonday)
