Exhibition Information
Writer Ahn Jin-kyun says he recognizes the face of the subject as a place. It is a place of memory where the eyes of someone who looks at the world through the view Finder, like a camera, are stacked one by one. But the works presented at the exhibition are not complete faces. Family photos of ordinary daily lives are the result of data loss due to unknown mechanical errors. Through this unexpected process, the author will experience a break in the past and present, and at the same time face the separation and release of images and subjects that were tied up as a "breakthrough." At this point, a slice slice, which means cracking and breaking, occurs. By intentionally presenting images that were unintentionally destroyed, audiences are invited to the author's journey to raise various questions and original views on the relationship between images and subjects, as a means of subversion and disassembly, original and reproduction, and preserving memory.
