Exhibition Information

Gallery 508 presents the solo exhibition «Architectural Sketches: SOULSCAPE» of Seung H-Sang, an inventive architect who pioneered a new chapter in South Korea's modern architecture for the past 40 years. Architect Seung H-Sang's sketches in this exhibition are comrpised of selected works from his projects on SOULSCAPE that he worked on for the past 10 years. In particular, since this exhibition presents the pages of his intimate sketchbooks as they are, once can read his architectural thought process, renowned for 'Beauty of Poverty'. The 12 projects encompass not only architecture related to religion or death, but also include houses, community centers, and neighborhood facilities, allowing us to look into the architect's thoughts, who dream of spiritual enhancement in our everyday architecture.
