Exhibition Information

			Nam June Paik Art Center is holding a special exhibition, Archaeology of Avantgarde, to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Nam June Paik's birth. Archaeology of Avantgarde, the first exhibition of 2022, is centered around ten scenes that reflect on important moments in the life and works of Nam June Paik. Starting with a scene that features Nam June Paik standing in front of a laser work in 2000, the exhibition presents photos of Nam June Paik installing his work at the Venice Biennale in 1993, Nam June Paik conducting Good Morning, Mr. Orwell in 1984, and Nam June Paik as a young man in the 1960s in reverse chronological order. We would like to recall what Paik has said in these ten scenes, and ask how Paik made a new path in the era of Pandemic and Metaverse.
