Exhibition Information
This curatorial project begins with the concept of 'line.' The unintended process which stems from the act of line-drawing and eventually results in the artist's intended message, rather than initially portraying an object and then filling it in with a specific arrangement or plan, is the underlying interest of the discourse. The exhibition focuses on artworks which reveal the artists' intentions throughout the process of their creation; instead of anticipating the outcome from the start, the laborous and repetitive method of line-drawing is imbued with the artists' sensibility. Instead of pursuing a definite whole, the artworks are completed within the process in which the artists' sensitivity is intensively embodied. Participating artists are Kim Hong Ju, Park Jin Kyu, Lee Bae, "Seokpa" Lee Ha Eung, and Choi Young Wook. (...) (Source = Joongjung Gallery)
