			<am is are>, Dakyo Oh’s solo exhibition, is a story of existence that surrounds the artist. The be-verbs as listed in the exhibition title are often used to convey the concept of non-verbal existence, which the artist interprets broadly as “my existence is your existence” and “the existence of all things, including myself.” She explores this theme using soil, her main working medium and a natural element that serves as the foundation of our lives and connects us to the archetype of roots deep within us. Soil allows for intimate contemplation beyond the visible, and as her main medium does, <am is are> offers a glimpse into our own essence that exists beneath everything that makes up our reality.
