Exhibition Information
Presented as ‘We love korea’ the inaugural group exhibition at Whitestone Gallery Seoul extends a warm welcome to the new Korean audience. The exhibition launches on September 3 (September 2 for VIPs) within the gallery’s latest branch, housed in a building envisioned by the renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. At its core is the work of Japanese artist Miwa Komatsu, celebrated for her spiritually-rooted portrayals of mythical animals and deities. On the second floor, you’ll find a glimpse of the gallery’s specialization in Japanese post-modern and avant-garde art. Amid Whitestone’s expansive collection from Japan’s post-war period, numerous artworks originate from members of the Gutai Art Association. Ascend to the fourth floor to explore Whitestone’s selection of contemporary artists from around the globe. The exhibition’s three primary sections, along with the rooftop of the gallery, audiences can enjoy until October 15. Stay tuned for forthcoming updates! (Source = whitestone gallery)
