Exhibition Information
The Trinity at Grand Hyatt Seoul is pleased to inform that we will be hosting VAKKI's solo exhibition, "<형박색음 形拍色音 Form : Beat ≒ Color : Frequency>_VAKKI IN SEOUL," from September 6th – 26th. After completing her Master's degree in Art Science at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, VAKKI has been actively working across various visual art fields and mediums, including painting, interactive media, installations, and sound. She is playfully transforming the objects around her into geometric patterns. In this exhibition, the basic elements of form—points, lines, planes, and shapes—are reborn within the unique order that the artist assigns them. These visual units do not remain as mere forms but transform into rhythmic beats through the viewer's eyes. By incorporating the traditional Korean five cardinal colors (Obangsaek), VAKKI merges the spiritual essence of Korean tradition, which emphasizes harmony between nature, the universe, and humanity into her works. The forms and colors, gradually realized through the artist's dynamic creative process, generate an aesthetic rhythm akin to the melodies created by notes in a musical score. VAKKI explores the infinite expansion of pure formal elements, symbolizing the foundation of objects, and pushes the boundaries of artistic stimulation to their fullest extent. Through this exhibition, "<형박색음 形拍色音 Form : Beat ≒ Color : Frequency>_VAKKI IN SEOUL," we invite you to experience the rhythmic visual symphony within the rules and order of the tangible elements expressed by VAKKI.
