			Gana Art presents exhibition by Kwang Kang who paints on canvas as individual style, containing the historical context from 1970’s. Going through confusing time, the Korea War, the Vietnam War and May 18 Gwangju Democratic Movement, Kang express the tragedy of Korea’s modern and contemporary history on canvas, between representation and abstraction, by selecting painting material as nature. The nature is symbol expressing emotion in mind, which is not used simple material of painting in his works. He represents his emotion that he feels the confusing contemporary history on his painting by nature’s aura. Also, he reveals tension in painting through expressing primitive sense and cold in nature. The exhibition is traced concentratedly all Kang’s painting, which is showed our story of history from 1970’s to 2000’s. Therefore, this exhibition will be chance to show Kang’s artistic viewpoint generally.
