Exhibition Information
One portrays the invisible while the other writes the unspoken. Another who keeps an eye on them makes an illegible book through a compilation of unexposed images and unwritten writings. Our exhibition is concerned with something physical that can be evidenced only by absence. There is a rumor about how the original form of art has never unmasked its raw state. It is a narrative on something ambiguous that is neither an image, text, nor a book. Perhaps it is a story about only witnessed facts vis-à-vis these things. I make a contradictory comment that anything that takes up physical space in a venue exists without their substance. We try to give rise to an empty book that we can feel but that is invisible. The exhibition Unreachable was born from a project that has been carried out for a year by artist Son Hyunseon, curator Cheon Meerim, and bookbinder Oh Meen Yea. We tried to explore a wide range of concerns that could expand from image and text without restricting our role to a single area.
