Exhibition Information
Hongti Village in Dadaepo, west of Busan, means 'a village located on a hill of rainbow' if you solve it in Korean. Since 1995, a large-scale industrial complex has been built in the village, and it has been named 'Intelligent Industrial Complex'. In 2013, the Hongtiat Center, a resident-style creative space of the Busan Cultural Foundation, opened under the name of the rainbow. The Hongtiet Center, where art and nature coexist, has developed a local cultural community with the solidarity of resident artists and local residents through various artistic activities. The Hongtiet Center was established as the center of the Western Mountain Hall Culture Network, leading the business of exhibitions, open studios, cultural and arts experience programs, and international exchanges. Located in Mangmi-dong, Suyeong-gu on the east side of Busan, F1963 was originally a wire factory of the Koryo River. It is known for its "F" of the factory and the history of 1963, the year the factory was built, and has become a multi-cultural and artistic space loved by Busan citizens today. Enjoying a cup of coffee at a cafe, or visiting a bookstore to buy a book, F1963 has become a representative cultural art space and tourist attraction in the eastern mountain region, which is also frequented by domestic and foreign tourists. Seven writers from the rainbow hills meet you at the old wire factory. The exhibition is designed to reduce the distance of the cultural and art of the East West Mountain, as well as introducing the latest works of Hongtiet Center’s 2019 resident artists to the public. In addition to wire, it means 'connect'. Connecting art with people and connecting people to life is the theme of 'RAINBOW-WIRE' and we hope to continue our cultural and artistic network in both places.
