Exhibition Information
Starting in 2013, Daegu Art Museum will hold an exhibition titled "You have switchcraft in your lives" that recounts the authors selected for the "Y,Y+Artist Project" that supports talented young artists and senior artists. The "Y,Y+Artist Project" is one of the most important projects to support writers, although some changes have been made along with the 10th anniversary of the museum’s opening. The exhibition title You have switchcraft in your lips is the last line from Shakespeare’s "Henry V," written around 1599. It is an ambassador of sweet love-hailing, which calls for the princess Catherine to marry in return for conquering France and protecting her royal throne, but it is a significant metapo that goes beyond simple love-hands and ends many political situations and marks a new beginning. In this exhibition, we will look at 12 writers with the keywords for Metapo. The definition of art is "metapo," and the writers’ modelling language is more indirect and intuitive than direct. This has expanded to various levels in contemporary art. Writers are using the media to reveal the times and social phenomena, asking questions. The performance of the 12 artists will deeply show the reality facing the writer in his 30s and 40s and, moreover, the various landscapes facing the reality facing our society. The Daegu Museum of Art will further refine the exhibition and wait for an evaluation at home and abroad, and will continue to share the path with the artists who have given it a shine.
