Exhibition Information
In January 2020, the new National Museum of Korea, Iksan National Museum is going to be opened. And as the first special exhibition of us, we’re introducing <Sarira Reliquaries>. We, Iksan National Museum, located at Iksan Mireuksa Temple Site, treat Sarira Reliquaries as a representative cultural asset, which is 1991th nation treasure of Korea. When we found it in Jan, 2009, we could face another aspect of Baekje, an ancient Korean city. Now it lead us new age. Remembering of this, we are trying to focus on the story of another world in it all around world. The exhibition consists of chapter 1 <The Body and Words of Buddha >, outlining the concept of pagodas, the Buddhist Reliquary and chapter 2 <The royal aspirations in the tower>, covering our royal Buddhist Reliquary. There are many royal Buddhist Reliquary from all over the country, Korea.
