Exhibition Information
The VERSI art Museum is the Art Brut* Specialist, which sheds light on the energetic and pure energy of artists not trapped in the framework of the system. The greatest strength of the Art Brut genre comes from the free imagination outside the mold of stereotyped thinking. In this exhibition, I'm going to talk about how precious and powerful our imagination is through the company of John Bambic, who looks at our lives and everyday lives like one little thing, and the company of picture book writers who explore the world from a clear perspective like a child. Instead of adults watching the news in the morning or checking their cell phones for troublesome work, what would the world we live in look like? Enjoy the journey back to childhood when the wildest imaginations were praised for their wildest imaginations, away from the daily routine of forcing logic and reason. I'm with four writers who don't lose their imagination when they grow up. *Art Brut: A concept defined by French artist Jean DuBoupe in 1945 that refers to a kind of pure art that appears in amateur works as "a coarse form of art that is not refined and unkempt." Swiss, Belgian, American and other professional institutions are conducting active research and small business on the value of creative elements in paintings that are unconsciously drawn by people who do not have traditional art education, such as children and mentally challenged. For the first time in Korea, the Art Museum is dealing with the art genre.
