Shim Yoon-ok | Art is a process of seeking truth, and beauty is a way in which truth is created and present. I express the intrinsic value and perpetuity that man seeks through the beauty and unalterable value of jewelry. In the work, gems form a spectrum of light from a multi-fold reflector to a brilliant glimmer of speechlessness. The outflow of light and color extends through the darkness, forming and harmonizing the whole, leading to the capture point of the mysterious and pious aura. Also, the energy released by clustered gems creates grandeur and wonder. Jewelry derives the special meaning of artificial permanence as it is processed from minerals to perpetuate the value of human longing for beauty and nobility. Jewelry is a metaphor for the eternity of art. Art created by ceaseless creation to find the source and nature of human beings has the eternal meaning and value reborn in a dynamic relationship with the world. This is "eternal return," or the power to create uniqueness by repeating creation and extinction in timeliness. We want to examine the eternality that is created and captured in time by preparing materials and jewelry that reveal temporaryity. In addition, in this era of widespread technology cloning, the art from Walter Benjamin’s Aura concept is fiercely trying to bring the nobility and nobility of the work in my own way. In addition, I try to find the essence of art through pure acts that I do as a writer, reflecting on the meaning of the art's eternity. Hopefully, it will be a visual experience that sympathizes with the modern reinterpretation of Aura, where the spectra of jewelry, light, darkness and color are harmonized.
