Exhibition Information
The 6th FottoFilmic (F/F) round of photo contest for North America and the rest of the world will be held in Vancouver, Canada. The tour will involve 30 up-and-coming and middle-aged artists who are finally selected from 12 countries, and will be held at the Seoul Derrement from Jan. 30-March 7, 2020 after going through the Vancouver Polygon Gallery and the San Francisco SF Camera Walk. The exhibition presents the appeal of analog and film photography, which are reborn as the future of photography in a modern society defined by digital. Analog-specific marginal mediumity is reborn as artistic completeness with experience and interpretation, and gives a glimpse into the past and evolving present of photographic media, which have been constantly rediscovered since 1839. The annual contest held by the "FotoFilmic Foundation," an international competition for film photography at the Contemporary Exhibition Center, is a contest held without restrictions on age, region and educational background. After selecting 90 entry-level writers, the final 30 selected by the judges will take part in the international circuit. The F/F18 review included Joachim Brohm (picture writer, German writer Essen), Greg Greg Greg Girard (camera, Vancouver, Canada), Joachim Nauadts (FOMU, Belgium) and Barry MorwattBarrie Mott, Canadian writer Kim Jong Un. The winner of the $5,000 prize presented by the Buschlen Moat Nicole Foundation is Demetri Demetri so Koilalous. Along with the opening of the Seoul exhibition, a 3-DAY workshop hosted by Canadian photographer Greg Gerrard, who also participated as a judge, will also be held from Jan. 31 to Feb. 2. Greg Girard has consistently recorded physical and social changes in the large cities of Asian countries over the past three decades. The workshop will also be a time for participants from all over the world to write down a city called Seoul and think about the timing and method of the capture.
