Exhibition Information
You sent into space Park Hee Jung There has never been a day when food waste is not faced one day. But dealing with it is still burdensome and unpleasant. Whenever I deal with it, I try to paralyze my sense of smell, sight and touch myself. Dirty, smelly and unpleasant, that's food waste. One day, I unwittingly opened a bag full of food waste. I put down my various interferences and looked at them in full view. There was an interesting painting with dots, lines, and noodles mixed together. It was like a palette mixed with oil, or like a spray of paint. I felt like I was in a strange swamp. By that time it was no longer something dirty, but something I wanted to explore. And then it put down its preconceptions about the subject and realized that it had only begun with ‘watching’. A new discovery of what it means to look at itself has become a very interesting motivation to proceed with this work. One of the things I have kept in my mind for a long time was that I wanted to show the greatness of smallness. Before being called something in the world, I want to tell you with my little work that its existence itself is great. As I wrote in the preface of the second individual exhibition.
