Exhibition Information

			Brothers Quay: The Invitation to the Dormitorium highlights the world of brothers Quay works, which still remain an unanswered territory in Korea as the main invitational work of the Jeonju Film Festival and expands their world of work into various artworks in exhibition halls, not movie theaters.

-Exhibition characteristics
Brothers Quay, the pioneer of Grotesque animation, following the video retrospective of the Jeonju International Film Festival, the Seoul Art Center will showcase various genres of art works.

1. Exhibits works proven by famous museum and art galleries abroad beyond movie theaters including the British Museum, Tat Modern Museum, The Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Museum of Modern Art in Japan.
2. Take a look at their worldview with various works that visualize Eastern European art animation and inspiration from art, literature and music. The Brothers Quay works at the intersection of various genres dramatically show the trend of contemporary art, in which convergence among art genres are active.
3. The Brothers Quay' Dormitorium set, illustration are works with great public appeal along with artistic value. The living moving dolls and a set of domitorium seem in the movie will add vividness and be attractive to not only those majoring in film, animation and art but also to ordinary visitors who are enthusiastic about the grotesque atmosphere.
