			Rumors are circulating that ghosts or crazy people are appearing in the deserted shopping mall. He passes through an underground parking lot and rides a glowing escalator to roam where weightless glass and metal are lined up. In a junkface where the entrance and exit has been sealed, can I find him without exhaustion?

HWI's screening event ⟪Into the ExtraPlex⟫ will be presented on the Elephant Space from July 18 to August 1. ⟪Into the ExtraPlex⟫ is an extension of ⟨ExtraPlex⟩, which HWI, a member of the company 'eobchae', once screened at a showcase of the same name in July 2019.

⟨ExtraPlex⟩, which will be screened at the event, will embody the journey of empty mallings from underground parking lots to ground floors with layers of video work.

⟨ExtraPlex⟩ is a term that replaces multi-, the prefix of the unidentified term "Multiplex," which means a complex theater, with extra-, meaning a virtual empty commercial district that fills a large city. Someone wanders the junkface in search of a moment's salvation, but they are also exhausted by programs of unbearably wide distraction. As such, the main work will build an existential anxiety that artists living in the ultra-spectacle era inevitably have, and thoughts in empty urban spaces as "alter-space." There, HWI pursues its own exit strategy, following the trajectory of Molling left by someone with a religious and religious attitude.

On July 25, the screening period, a talk program will be held with critic Jung Gu-won to read  ⟨ExtraPlex⟩ under the keyword "technical spirituality" and talk about the audio-visual experience provided by HWI.

HWI is an electronic musician and vocalist based in Seoul and a member of artist collectivist 'eobchae'. He mainly produce music and videos. Since the release of his debut EP ⟨ExtraPlex⟩ 2019 in 2019, he has continued various activities, including performances at the National Museum of Contemporary Art and the Seoul Community Radio.
