Time is the best Art. Great art is Timeless. _Axel Vervoordt Shinsegae Gallery is a duo of Kim Mi-young and Kim Hye-na to look into the beauty of the imperfect, which is not permanent. Their works are based on Wabi-Sabi aesthetics and their simple and humble attitude to live in harmony with nature. The two writers faithfully accept the current given time inside, and discover beauty and the sincerity of life in the mood created by the passage of time. In Kim Hye-na's paintings, the inner calmness comes to mind, and in Kim Mi-young's painting, the cheerful footsteps of the pleasant walkway come to mind. Writer Kim Hye-na says, "I write and draw with a feeling that I don't want to somehow forget the memories of the moment, the scent or shape of the moment, the faces and the scenery, the mood of the day, the atmosphere or voice." The story of the forest, flowers, the touch and weather of the flowing water, the scent and voice of the memory are the subject of the painting. Kim Mi-young expresses everyday scenes in colors and forms in all-over abstract language. These motifs are completed by adding impromptu flow to the speed of color weakness, martier and brush. In a simple and humble way of working, one finds 'the joy in the absence of any sickness.' The two writers share an incomplete experience, a state of mind, and sometimes a sense of beauty in rough reality. If we let the little things flow, and seek naturalness without too much effort, then we become focused on the present. And you can experience the fullness and freedom that comes from emptiness. Time is the process of ripening beauty, not extinction, and as time accumulates, the layers are added. I hope you will experience the imperfect beauty of the moment, as you can feel the gentle streams of water, the swaying leaves and the breeze in this exhibition.
