Exhibition Information
Kim Jeong-woon is a writer who works on the theme of Time and Alienation. 'Time and alienation' is a simple word, but it is also an old subject of philosophy and art and a fundamental problem of our lives. Kim Jung-woon brings back old objects quietly covering time, draws realistic pictures on them, and quietly draws realistic pictures on them, creating a fresh meeting time there. Taking old objects from art and using them in current works is called 'discovered objects'. Kim Jeong-woon finds old objects such as bags, small portable dining table, and small furniture, and draws true figures and landscapes on them. In other words, it adds a realistic image to the discovered object. A new and strange encounter, which takes place out of the customary context, is called an accidental encounter and is called the work of 'discovery and selection'. Discovery and selection are ways to allow for some half-conscious act and thus allow the work to be organized. Kim Jong-woon's "discovery and choice" is a work to create a new context, as well as time, interpretation of the future, along with an audience that will be invited amid unfamiliar and heterogeneous encounters.
