Exhibition Information
The artist’s infinite imagination is the most important material in art. In ‘Art of Imagination’, artistic imaginations like small seeds germinate with multisensory media to manifest as artists’ books, paintings, photos, and installation works. Hyejin Jo(Installation) questions the value of an object’s essential shape and reconstructs it into space. Son Hyunseon(Painting) explores the surface of a material that is not directly related to its original functional purpose. Hyunjeong Kimbak(Photography) turns the imagination of reassembling images and materials into material again. In Meen Yea Oh’s artist book, the sensational part of the book is reinterpreted in various processes. The artist book, which consist of sensuous properties of matter and concepts, meets various and creative interpretations, leading us to an infinite imaginary world. In addition, the D’Ark Room selects and introduces artist books made by Datz Press over the past decade and publications in visual arts from various countries.
