Exhibition Information
Images of landscapes and places are placed on tables, shelves, and walls to create another frame. Image Archive #1 is an exhibition that aims to recreate the artist's own "private space" until the image of the landscape or place is contained in a three-dimensional object. This is an exhibition for recording, leaving another "image" of the space where the work is placed in one frame. Photographic images used in my work are part of the place where my eyes stayed where I visited, and this is a means to store and recall memories. It is the "frame" and "space" that are used in the process of reconstructing these images into three-dimensional objects called ornaments. The space shown directly and indirectly by the image is a metaphorical medium containing the actual place where it stayed in the past, the virtual space where memory is mixed, and the abstract space that reconstructs its memories. It is an ideological place where the mixed images are released freely, and the realistic and abstract framework of frame is to lock them up for expression. It is hoped that images, works, and multi-faceted appreciation in a space where they coexist, such as still life paintings, can be one of the ways to deliver and share narratives that the media can give.
