Exhibition Information
Modern people consume popular culture through mass media. Countless celebrity and brand images produced in popular culture are unilaterally and continuously communicated to the public, and what is perceived and consumed by more people is their purpose, and that is, power. These "famous" things surrounding modern people have become our environment, and modern people live in it whether they like it or not. Those "famous" things have great power, so the public loses cultural productivity and becomes faithful to consumption, and reproducing them is very tricky. The "Fan Culture" international exhibition deals with the art created by individual artists under the theme of popular culture. Although the concept of ready-made is already common in modern art, there are many challenges that need to be solved delicately, such as copyright law and portrait rights, and there are some differences in the way countries view the same topic. Through this exhibition, we hope to become an opportunity to see ourselves as we live in the stage and the interior of modern culture.
