Exhibition Information

			"Piercer" imagines the fantasy of female writers breaking through many levels and covering reality and the future. Fantasy is definitely different from reality, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have any power in reality. Rather, it is a way of revealing the existence that has not become a reality and trying to build tomorrow in a different way from today.



"Piercer" focuses on a world formed by various generations of female artists from the 1940s and 1980s out of a total of 5,219 works in the collection of the Seoul Museum of Art. I want to tell them why it is necessary to think beyond reality and shape him into visual language, and what can change in reality.



They moved their bodies little by little every day to allow them to pass through a number of fixed surfaces, blocked existing windows, pierced new windows, and punctured the ceiling. Along with that, the pieces that are tightly attached to concrete walls and floors will begin to make the physical structure that supports reality gradually thin and transparent.



○ What is the Citizens Curator SeMA Collection Exhibition?

The Citizen Curator SeMA Collection Exhibition is designed to promote the sustainability of citizen curators produced by the Seoul Museum of Art over the past five years. This exhibition was held by a citizen curator selected after the operation of a collection education program at the Seoul Museum of Art with space and budget support from the Seoul Museum of Art, and the entries consisted of the collection of the Seoul Museum of Art.
