Exhibition Information
Introduction - Exhibition works Four Buddha iron statue known to have been excavated in Gangwon-do, including the Seated Stone of Pharmacist No. 1873, traces of them, and relics excavated from the site where the iron Buddha was presumed to have been manufactured. The National Chuncheon Museum (Director Kim Sang-tae), which has cultural heritages containing nature in Gangwon such as "Changryeongsa Temple Site OhbaekNahan" and "Geumgangsan Mountain and Gwandong Eight Scenic Views," is hosting the third special exhibition in 2020. Iron Buddha is known to have been built in the late Unified Silla Period and early Goryeo Dynasty, during the chaos that local families were doing, and many of them remain in Gangwon Province. The National Chuncheon National Museum has been conducting scientific research on iron and fire for the past three years, and this year, it has prepared a special exhibition with the eyes of conservation scientists, along with the publication of its findings.
