Exhibition Information

Exhibits: 800 pieces of pottery excavated from Deoksan Mountain in Gimhae, including 'Magapchong Horse Armor' (National Treasure No. 275), 'Treasure No. 2041, and 'Treasure Decorative Pottery' (Treasure No. 637)'. The Gimhae National Museum (Director Oh Se-yeon) will hold a special exhibition "Gaya on Horse" in 2020. In this special exhibition, 800 Gaya horse equipments with culture and wisdom that Gaya people have built with their horses will be presented. The exhibition, designed to examine the role and value of horses in Gaya society, consists of three sections of Gaya culture: Part I, Ancient Horse, Part II, and Part III. The history of Gaya horse equipments reflects the culture and wisdom that Gaya people have built with their horses. We hope that this special exhibition will be an opportunity to take a step closer to Gaya culture and its people.
