			Lotte Department Store wishes for a hopeful new year in 2021 and wants to promote the world of Kim Hwanki's work through the media, which has been challenged endlessly with the Ventilation Foundation and the Ventilation Museum.

Kim Hwanki was a pioneer of abstract art in Korea and established a unique art world based on Korean lyricism. He is recorded as a person who led the internationalization of Korean art in France and the United States with passion and challenge spirit.

The media project "UNIVERSE_WHANKI 1 - I-21" is the first media exhibition to be attempted by Kim Whanki, who was not afraid of change, and aims to present the universe's huge "view" through the 6x6x6m Lotte World Tower Media Cube. Among Kim Whan-ki's representative works, UNIVERSE_05-£–71 #200, widely known for the highest bid in the history of a Korean art auction in November 2019, has created a sublime space created by a transparent and deep blue color, and a perfect universe in front of our eyes.

Kim Whan-ki is characterized by naming the work "UNIVERSE" and recording the serial number (200th work) according to the order of production on April 5, 1971, the day he began painting the work. "UNIVERSE _ WHANKI 1 - I-21" LOTTE MEDIA PROJECT celebrated January 1, 2021, the first day of its release as a media project to promote the meaning and world of the work, which was completed with dots to talk about the order, balance, and harmony of the universe.
