The Artist Relay Project is an exhibition that introduces serious concerns about the direction of individual artists' work that has been newly derived through the entry of creative studios to ordinary visitors. A total of 18 artists were selected for the 14th period, and it will run until April next year.■ Cheongju Art Creation Studio One of the instinctive behaviors of moving the space of life to a new environment is to find a place where you can see the widest sky nearby and walk slowly there. As a result, people often walk toward the river's flow naturally in the city center. When I first came here to Yongam-dong, Cheongju, I looked around and fortunately there was a river called Musimcheon that runs through downtown Cheongju. Various external and inner landscapes that took place while walking along the river came into the screen. There are lush grasses and reeds by the river. Although it did not have an attractive appearance to be intriguing at once, attention is directed to subtle color changes caused by the transparent texture of the thin, weakly stretched reed. The scene of fierce battles seems to be embedded in a resolute silence, as the scene of the fierce battle is seen as fragile as the wind blowing and the cold weather, but the conflicting posture of keeping the place unwavering and solid. Looking at the scenes, I wanted to create a screen with a solid composition like a planted reed, using simple, weak, and light-looking sculptures that seemed insignificant. It is intended to coexist the conflicting emotions in which lightness and weight exist at the same time, and elements that seem to be nothing play a decisive role on the screen. It's a routine that seems unchanging and insignificant, but if you look closely with interest, there's a change and there's a difference. I'm going to tell you the story.■ Kim Kyunghan
