Gallery Simon is pleased to present Kyung Woo Han's solo exhibition <Anechoic Figures> from April 18th to June 19th, 2021. As a concept of this exhibition, Han used the principles of an anechoic chamber, designed to absorb reflections of either sound or electromagnetic waves. He explored the incomplete perspectives of humans through artistic materials, questioning about human faith that can be relatively unilateral. In this exhibition, Han presents 'silent figures' that do not reflect any sound, by creating pyramid-shaped sound absorptive materials based on subjects that humans have given relative values and relied on. At Gallery Simon, the audience will have an opportunity to experience the silent sound art of Han, who has been considering the stereotype of human perspectives.
