Gana Art is pleased to announce Spring Story II which showcases the outstanding artworks by 10 acclaimed Korean artists:Kim Whanki, Choi Wookkyung, Lee Ufan, Shim Moonseop, Park Youngnam, Oh Sufan, Lim Oksang, Kim Taeho, Yeessookyung, and Huh Myoungwook. The exhibition begins with selected highlights of one of the foremost Korean abstract artists Kim Whanki (1913-1974) and a renowned first-generation female artist Choi Wookkyung(1940-1985). The next section introduces Lee Ufan(1936-), who is among the most influential artist in the development of Korean contemporary art in conceptual and formal aspects. His paintings are sown alongside sorks of Shim Moonseop, an active sculptor who also earned recognition for his abstract paintings from the 2000s. Concluding the exhibition is a wide selection of artworks by contemporary artists including Kim Taeho, Park Youngnam, Oh Sufan, Yeesookyung, and Huh Myoungwook. The artists featured in Spring Story II offer a compelling examination of material and meaning embedded in their visual language.
