Exhibition Information
The format observing, which expresses artists' objects, is an exhibition designed to introduce visitors to the diversity of Korean contemporary art and provide them with an opportunity to think deeply about the social role of art works. In terms of cultural activities, appreciating and understanding the work is designed to provide an opportunity for the viewer to accept the artist and his/her work as others, rather than approaching the artist from the perspective of becoming a batter. At the same time, we are trying to understand the postmodernity phenomenon, which is considered to express the modern social situation we are experiencing in various ways. The term, which began to be mentioned in our society at least in the 90s, has a variety of explanations to understand the 21st century, so we can understand how it was expressed and visualized in contemporary art works. Furthermore, this purpose will be recognized more easily than expected if we know the difference from modernity that we are already learning.
