Exhibition Information

"There are moments when I'm touched by what I've seen as I pass by. This is what we call art." -Murakami Takashi Shinsegae Gallery will host a group exhibition of overseas pop artists that borrows visual images of popular culture such as mass media, advertisements, movies and cartoons beyond existing norms. British pop artist Julian Opie, who succinctly expresses the personality of people coming and going to and from the city in bold outlines and bright colors. Alex Katz, who is called New York's leading painter and draws portraits of family and friends on canvas based on drawing. The two artists make colorful harmonies in this exhibition. David Shrigley, an English writer who portrays everyday material in scribbling images. Jon Burgerman, who works in graphic design and contemporary art based in New York City and creates humorous and friendly monster characters. Cartoon-inspired Takashi Murakami Takashi and Mr. Yoshitomo Nara Yoshitomo, a country well-known for her chubby, cute eye-tailed villain character, From Catherine Bernhardt to Jerkface Jerkface, who comically constructs bold sides and lines, I hope that their cheerful and bright energy will give new vitality to their repeated daily lives.
