Exhibition Information
《The Impossible Image》 is an exhibition with the purpose of raising subjectivity by supposing members of society as images in the painting and then creating a network of relationships between the images by brushing them. Kim Jeong-in perceives the changing phenomenon as a liquid, and assumes it as an external pressure that threatens the image (individuals in society) and power to decolorize and standardize. Disasters in these screens promote solidarity between images that symbolize members of society, revealing the importance of establishing subjectivity and the importance of individuality and judgment. This presents a methodology for living in the contemporary world and has the meaning of raising the importance of sociological dialogue or critical thinking. The exhibition consists of flat paintings and drawings. The museum is closed on Mondays and is open from 10 am to 7 pm. On the last Wednesday of every month, on cultural days, the operation is extended until 8 pm. (Source = Ungno Lee Museum of Art)
