Exhibition Information
Doosan Gallery will host the Doosan Curator Workshop exhibition <un-less> a program to train new planners, from July 14 to August 18, 2021. The exhibition is a joint exhibition of Maeng Na-hyun, Jeon Min-ji and Jung Hae-sun, who participated in the 10th Doosan Curator Workshop. Doosan Curator Workshop's exhibition "un-less" begins by looking back on the lack or lack of what is rightfully needed. Disasters around the globe have claimed numerous lives. Natural disasters such as typhoons, floods, earthquakes, and droughts, as well as social disasters such as the 9/11 and Fukushima nuclear accidents, have constantly threatened human life and caused inherent cracks in society. For a long time, humans have faced a reality that they cannot return to the existing world whenever they face an unexpected disaster. Now that the unprecedented epidemic has narrowed the distance from disaster more than ever, we are seeing something lacking. Three planners want to ask questions at such a grand inflection point in history as follows. After what was considered essential to make up the world falls into a fire pit named the 'romantic past', what remains after that? At the same time, what becomes impossible? If you have no choice but to face a deficient situation, what attitude should you take? Can humans move forward instead of retreating according to their own choices? Thus, "un-less" seeks to face up to the situation itself, and to imagine the "after" world that still remains blank beyond stereotypes about it.
