In the artist's work note I really like trees. Perhaps because I grew up in a house with a wooden fence instead of a wall when I was young, from the moment I picked up the camera, there are always trees in my work. I think of trees as 'my mirror', and when I look at the trees in a group, I think of people I have relationships with in the world. Many people look at the forest, not the trees, but when I find a tree that takes my heart away, I am happy as if I met an old friend. I remember that time, perhaps, when I was in the midst of ‘finding my self’ before going out into the harsh world after spending a long time with marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting. When a few green leaves rustle in the wind on a dark gray tree that seems to exist and doesn't exist, my forgotten confidence begins to wriggle. Thanks to the strong vitality that green gives me, I am ready to go out into the world. (Source = Naver Blog Enjoying Jeonju)
