Exhibition Information
“When I draw something blue, I feel comfortable […] The sunlight reflected off the ocean waves, or the impression that I received from the waves I still remember them vividly.” Gana Art is pleased to present 《Ripple》, a solo exhibition of Park Chelho (b. 1965-). Park has been exploring values of human existence based on his philosophy that human life circulates as part of nature. Park’s childhood memories related to the natural environment contributed to the creation of his unconscious perception of nature which is evident in his distinctive visual language. He embodies nature in an abstract form with a unique sensibility, and as a result, his paintings contain the delicate lines of Mother Nature. The exhibition features a new series of works, called <Ripple>, which speaks about the circulation of humans and nature through the representation of ocean waves and light shining between them. The exhibition runs through August 29 at Gana Art Center Hall 3. (source=gana art center)
