			The 19th Woomin Art Award Winner Kim Sang-jin

《In the Penal Colony》

Established in 2002 to promote the development of culture and art in the Chungbuk region, the ‘Good Artist of the Year Art Award’ has established itself as a representative art award in the region.

The Woomin Art Center (Woomin Foundation) has been in charge since 2016, and is making efforts to support artists who contribute to the development of Korean contemporary art beyond the region. Since 2017, the name of the art award has been changed to the ‘Woomin Art Award’ so that it can emerge as an art award that presents new possibilities of contemporary art. This year, the 19th Woomin Art Award winner Sangjin Kim's solo exhibition <In the Penal Colony> is being held.
