Exhibition Information
<The nation survives when the feminists are confident : femi dangdang archive project> is an archive exhibition that records the activities of the Femidangdang, a women's art/ movement group based in Seoul for the past five years. In the course of the exhibition, the Femidangdang aims to find a way of recording beyond the practice of chronologically leaving past events. To this end, the process of exploring who records history, what time is remembered or forgotten, and what inequalities arise and can be overcome through the act of recording is displayed in the same weight as historical records. Femidangdang is a feminist cultural and artistic group formed in the wake of the murder of Gangnam Station in 2016. I have been thinking about how art forms such as performance, installation, and design can function as social movements. (Source = Post territory WooJeongkook)
