Exhibition Information
Humans doubt over things. ‘Is what I see real or true?’ and ‘Wouldn’t be there any truth beyond the visible?’ We encounter countless errors when we perceive the visible as they are, that is, assume them to be true. That is why the genuine truth beyond the visible has become a psychological goal pursued by humans. The subject of an artwork is what is made seen in the visual art which is on the premise of the visual sense. The history of art of striving to express what we know in the middle of portraying the visible, and representing what we do not know or what we want to know is analogous to an endless exploration to unearth the source of the world, or the truth. As such, art has continued on its exploration through two acts - seeing and painting. (중략) Chun Heejung (Gallery SoSo) (Source=Gallery SoSo)
