Exhibition Information
The Chonbuk Provincial Museum of Art is looking at modern Asian art from a self-directed perspective, expanding the solidarity between Jeonbuk and Asia through planning exhibitions and human exchanges of creative studio. This is a reflective reflection of the reality that remains at the level of introducing Gumi-centered art to the military, and an ambitious step to identify the diversity and contemporary situation of Asian contemporary art as art. The "Asia Mapping Project" has been running for over five years, starting with the 2015 Asia Contemporary Art Exhibition. So far, 112 Korean and foreign artists from 14 countries have participated in the exhibition and signed business agreements with five major Asian residents for exchanges, bringing together 23 artists. This year, it focused on the burgeoning modern art of China. While preparing for the ``Northern Scorpion Special Level,'' he visited numerous studios in Beijing, inviting 16 people, including Cheese Rung, a cynical dig into China's social problems, Zugao Zhong, a pioneer of Korean avant-garde art, and Lee Ge-yong, a conceptually approaching the original form of Korean beauty. After the end of modernism, the one-sided following of the mechanism Western art has no longer been considered. Now, we need to broaden our horizons by focusing on our own internal language, not on a batter's side or Asia as a hitter. The Chonbuk Provincial Museum of Art will try to play the central role of Asian contemporary art being refluxed from its own perspective.
