			The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MCA, director Yoon Beom-mo) will hold a youth-colored 2019: Liquid Glass Sea Exhibition at Gwacheon National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art from June 20 to Sept. 15. 

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the opening of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea, the young and beautiful painting will be revived after five years.《Young Myeokjeon is Korea's oldest and most prestigious new artist-hunting program that started in 1981 as 《 Youth Writer》, introducing potential artists of contemporary Korean art and presenting indicators to gauge the local art scene. Lee Bul, Choi Jung-hwa in 1989, Seo Do-ho in 1990 and Moon Kyung-won in 2000 made their names known through the program. 

The exhibition will be the 19th exhibition of 《Youth Color 2019: Liquid Glass Sea Screens. It will introduce nine people, including Kim Ji-young, Song Min-jung, Ahn Sung-seok, Yoon Doo-hyun, Lee Eun-sae, Jang Seo-young, Jung Hee-min, Choi Min-eul and Hwang Soo-yeon. The authors were chosen as notable writers through research, recommendations and meetings of academic masters at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art and advice from outside experts.

The exhibition's subtitle, "The Liquid Glass Sea," is a common keyword found in nine participating authors. It symbolizes the free and fluid attitudes of young contemporary Korean writers, who cannot wrap up with such complete sentences as a gap between each word. It also means the tendency of young writers to reflect scenes from inside and outside reality more transparently and clearly, such as hard and delicate liquid crystal displays, and their potential to exist in the future as a steady stream of flowing sea. 

Through the characteristics and emotions found in the media images, smartphone apps and YouTube, the nine authors confront each other head-on with the worries of the times, and leave themselves to the waves of the Internet to float together. A total of 53 pieces, including 52 new films, will be unveiled at the exhibition. 

Kim Ji-young sends a message that the same thing should not be repeated with an interest in the disaster and the individual victimized by the social system. Song Min-jung emphasizes the "current" point of view by bringing into the work the way popular culture, such as SNS, is consumed. Ahn Seong-seok asks questions in various media, including photos, videos and installations, to the world where people have been taking it in an inertia manner. Yoon Doo-hyun uses computer-based images to create a huge landscape, crossing the boundaries of virtual, imaginary and real life into a cheerful manner. Lee Eun-sae reinterprets the absurd and taboo scenes she and her surroundings witnessed and unfolds them vividly on the painting. Jang Seo-young presents the senses that take place inside and outside of her body more clearly over the screen. Jung Hee-min explores the bump between images and the tactile sensation that arises from them. With the genre of sculpture at the center, Minneul shows various interests in three-dimensional work. Hwang explores the materials she finds around her and finds her own formative language in the process of changing its form. 

The exhibition halls are organically connected to each other while securing individual spaces for writers. In addition, he expressed his fierce and candid thoughts of young artists of his time through real data, interviews, and vivid videos of the production process.
