Hite Collection presents The Last Things before the Last, the 2022 young artists exhibition presenting works by Rondi Park, WONJEONG DEPARTMENT STORE, and TZUSOO. What has power over our imagination has absolute power over us (Markus Gabriel). This exhibition explores the world directed by these young artists’ sensibility and imagination.
Interested in amplifying the personal history as a social phenomena, Rondi Park works with various mediums including drawing, textiles, performance, and ceramics. In this exhibition, Park focuses on observing the past by tracing the formation of her aesthetic perspectives and the origin of her visual desires in the era of hypercapitalism. Through this, the artist copes with her present situation, adjusting the relationship between the “self” and the society.
