			Artside Gallery is holding an exhibition titled Thus, the End of My Gaze Is from 13th of January to 11th of February, 2023. Since 2018, Artside Gallery has introduced rising artists with potential in its first exhibition every year. This exhibition features three artists, Kim Xian (b.1992), Jung Soyun (b.1991), and Heo Chanmi (b.1991), puting the focus on where they are heading and what they are looking at. Following their gaze, we will be able to communicate on the scenes they see. Kim Xian transforms living things and everyday products into objects with a plastic-like texture in a unique airbrush technique. Jung Soyun speculates about the root and sublimity of life in the greatness of nature, and contains the meanings of nature and the human body in her work. Heo Chanmi portrays scenes surrounding her that are easily overlooked with a rough but cheerful touch in a simple and delicate expression of colors.

Our views of the world cannot be identical as our thoughts of a film cannot be identical. We can discover things we haven’t seen before as there are different perspectives from ours. The three artists explore aspects of our everyday life that we have forgotten or failed to notice due to familiarity and negligence. Viewers of the exhibition, which sheds light on what we are missing in our lives, thus will be able to look at the world from their own perspectives and to have a happy encounter they wait for.
