			“Since my direction is not focused on the representation of images, I seek out new possibilities for painting. Through the process of coloring countless small gaps left after the brushstroke with entirely different and heterogeneous black pencil lines, I move towards a new kind of painting that even I can not predict.”

 

 

Leeahn Gallery presents solo exhibition In the Distance of Kyungchul Shin, who has emboid the scenery from memory with original techniques, at Daegu location from March 2nd to April 22nd, 2023. As for the second exhibiion with the gallery, around 20 artworks will be showcased including previous styles. Recommend to observe the unique methodology of capturing scenery rather than painted landscape which expresses images of nature that are common around him with blurred and faint expression. Kyungchul Shin’s artistic language is evaluated as methodological experiments between conceptual, abstract, realistic, and non-realistic art.
